A winter nights promise

Lily and Jacob

It was a crisp winter evening in the heart of the small town of Ashford. Snowflakes gently cascaded from the sky, covering the streets in a soft white blanket. The town was aglow with warm lights as people bustled through, eager to finish their holiday shopping. In the midst of it all, Lily stood at the corner of Maple Street, her breath visible in the chilly air as she waited.

She hugged her scarf closer, glancing around anxiously. This was the night she’d been waiting for—a reunion with Jacob, her childhood friend and first love. They had been inseparable growing up, spending summers by the lake and winters skating on the frozen pond. But after high school, life had taken them on different paths. Lily stayed in Ashford, while Jacob had moved to the city, chasing his dreams. For years, they kept in touch, but the long-distance and busy lives caused their connection to fade. Yet, not a day went by that she didn’t think of him.

Tonight, after five long years, he was coming home.

Lily’s heart raced as she saw a tall figure approaching through the lightly falling snow. Jacob. His dark hair, now a bit longer, framed his face. He wore a wool coat and a scarf wrapped loosely around his neck, his hands stuffed in his pockets. When he saw her, a smile spread across his face, the same warm smile she remembered from their youth.

"Lily," he breathed as he came closer, his eyes sparkling with recognition and something deeper.

"Jacob," she replied, her voice soft, trying to conceal the emotions that threatened to bubble up. They stood there for a moment, just looking at each other, as though five years hadn't passed at all.

He stepped forward, hesitating for a second before pulling her into a hug. The warmth of his embrace against the cold night made her heart ache with memories and longing. It felt like coming home, like everything had led to this moment.

“I’ve missed you,” Jacob whispered into her hair.

“I’ve missed you too,” she replied, her voice barely audible.

Pulling back slightly, he cupped her face in his hands, brushing a strand of hair behind her ear. “I should have come back sooner,” he said, his voice thick with emotion. “I’ve thought about you every day, Lily.”

Her heart pounded in her chest. “Then why didn’t you?”

Jacob sighed, his breath forming a small cloud in the cold air. “I thought... maybe you had moved on. That maybe the life you built here was enough, and I was just a memory.”

Lily shook her head, her eyes glistening. “You were never just a memory. I waited, Jacob.”

The weight of her words hung in the air, and for the first time in years, they both realized what they had lost—and what they still had.

Without another word, Jacob leaned in and kissed her, a slow, gentle kiss that melted the cold around them. It was like a promise, a reminder of all they had shared and all they could still have. When they finally pulled away, breathless, the world around them seemed quieter, as though the town itself was giving them this moment.

Jacob rested his forehead against hers, his voice barely a whisper. “I’m home now. For good.”

Lily smiled through her tears, her heart full for the first time in years. “I’m glad,” she whispered back.

Hand in hand, they walked down the snow-covered streets.

Back to there old bedroom Jacob started kissing her with slow passionate kisses ....lily forgotten all her boundaries and melted in that kiss......the slow neck kisses... Love bites and the sensual touch was making her crazy ..... She moans louder..... Heating the environment more.... Soon enough all their clothes was on the floor and they made love all night long
